Hyland Hills Judo Club was established in 1984.
Our passion is sharing our experiences and knowledge about Judo. Helping each individual to become better and stronger every day by way of learning valuable lessons through this wonderful sport.
OUR MISSION: At Hyland Hills Judo Club, you will gain CONFIDENCE, DISCIPLINE, SELF CONTROL, and RESPECT for yourself and others. You will learn to be a LEADER, and how to GIVE BACK to others and your community. You will be RESPONSIBLE to have FOCUS, to FOLLOW DIRECTION, and develop a strong WORK ETHIC. Through Judo you will develop COORDINATION, gain MENTAL AND PHYSICAL STRENGTHS. You will be able to protect yourself if needed, and to SET GOALS AND ACHIEVE them.
Judo is a challenging sport, but is also a philosophy. One that teaches all judokas (students) values that will shape the rest of their lives.
Judo is fun for kids and adults of all ages. As well can help those struggling with problems like ADHD, focusing and behaviour problems. The skills Judo provides can be a great cross training tool for sport like wrestling, Brazilian Jujitsu, Sambo, soccer, football, baseball, gymnastics, and any sport valuing balance and quick reaction.
